Great Falls Hike + Fitness Educating - Northern Virginia Personal ...

Every few weeks it?s necessary to take a break from the crazy fast paced lives we live and enjoy what?s right in front of us. No, I?m not trying to be ?deep? or ?overly?philosophical?. But when I look back at my typical week and weekend, variety sometimes can be a bit lackluster ? but that?s life, right? I personally like to change things up, and test new waters.

Since I had some time to myself this weekend, I ventured all the way to Great Falls, VA. I wasn?t there to see the mansions (which there are more than you would believe) but instead I was looking for the outdoors which seems to be hidden in nooks and crannies the closer you get to DC. Great Falls is definitely one of the best places to get ?away? from the busy overcrowded suburb and city life. Check out this wild picture I took from the second vantage point from the Virginia side of Great Falls?..pretty wild, eh?

This isn?t where my wild weekend of relaxation (a bit contradicting of a statement, I know) ended. In fact, it?s only Saturday evening at this very moment. The best thing is that I took some time to crush some brain food and explore the realms of health and fitness ? specifically books by other personal trainers. I?m always looking for ways to be better at what I do, so why not look at other published authors? (which btw I?m working on my first book ? if you follow my blog you?ll definitely get a sneak peek of it soon)

Here?s the two fitness books I crushed this weekend

?

?I definitely wasn?t disappointed and did pick up a thing here or there that I wasn?t as sharp on as I should be for training myself or my clients, but there wasn?t anything revolutionary. However, I definitely gained something much more useful than a fitness tip ? confidence as a writer. If these guys can put together a book that people buy, I sure as anything can ? and will by June 11th :) ( that?s my goal I?m on pace to crush)

The best part about all of this, is that it?s so early in the weekend, and I have a whole Easter Sunday to look forward to with family.

Have a killer week!
